GOALS of SEARCH & RESCUE FOR AUTISM:

  1. To help responders recognize and understand behaviours so that they are able to search for, and respond effectively to, the autistic community.
  2. To train families and caregivers in how to respond effectively in the case of an emergency
  3. To work together to ensure better outcomes in emergency situations involving the autistic community in Canada.

Search and Rescue for Autism, from Autism Canada through the SAR NIF program, provides technical training, resources and materials for responders in Search & Rescue, as well as training and resources for the autism community at large.
